Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of https://violaris.com.cy/ and purchases made through our online store.

The website is operated by C. Violaris Cleaning Products Suppliers Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus under registration number HE 213470, with its registered office at 6 Piraeus Street, Latsia, Nicosia, Cyprus (“Violaris”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable Cyprus or European Union consumer protection law.

1. Use of Our Website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce viruses or other malicious material, interfere with its operation, or use it in a manner that infringes the rights of Violaris or any third party.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.

2. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

Product images are for illustrative purposes and colours or appearance may vary slightly depending on the device or screen used to view them. Packaging may also change from time to time without affecting the nature or quality of the product.

Products are subject to availability. We may discontinue products or change product information and prices at any time. Any changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted by us, except where required by law or agreed with you.

3. Prices

Prices displayed on the website are shown in euros (€) and include applicable VAT unless otherwise indicated.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed before you complete your order.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted by us.

If an obvious pricing or product information error occurs, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the affected order. Where payment has already been taken and we are unable to fulfil the order, the relevant amount will be refunded.

4. Orders and Acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

After placing your order, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. Receipt of an order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • there is an obvious error in the price or product information;

  • payment cannot be authorised;

  • delivery cannot reasonably be made to the address provided;

  • we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or an unlawful transaction; or

  • we are otherwise unable or not permitted by law to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products.

5. Customer Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when placing an order, including your name, billing and delivery details, telephone number and email address.

Please ensure that your contact information is correct so that we can process your order and communicate with you regarding delivery, withdrawal, returns or other matters relating to your purchase.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available during checkout.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply to the processing of your payment information.

7. Delivery

Our standard delivery timeframe is normally 3–5 business days, subject to product availability, delivery location and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Delivery estimates are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise.

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the indicated timeframe. If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you where appropriate.

Risk in the goods passes to you when you, or a third party nominated by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.

Further information regarding delivery is available in our Delivery & Returns Policy.

8. Your Right to Withdraw from an Online Purchase

If you are a consumer, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, subject to the exceptions provided by law.

For the purchase of goods, the withdrawal period generally expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.

Where multiple goods from the same order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally runs from receipt of the last eligible item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly inform us of your decision to withdraw before the applicable withdrawal period expires. Simply returning goods without communicating your decision to withdraw may not, by itself, constitute a valid exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal.

9. Online Withdrawal Function

For contracts concluded through our website, you may submit a withdrawal declaration using the “Withdraw from Contract” function available on our website. Where the statutory right of withdrawal applies, this function may be used to exercise that right.

The withdrawal function is prominently and easily accessible online and is available throughout the applicable statutory withdrawal period.

When using the online withdrawal function, you will be asked to provide or confirm the information necessary to identify you and the relevant order or contract, together with the electronic contact details to which your acknowledgement should be sent.

You will be given the opportunity to confirm your withdrawal before it is submitted.

After submission, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium, normally by email, without undue delay. The acknowledgement will include the content of your withdrawal submission and the date and time it was submitted.

The acknowledgement of receipt confirms that your withdrawal declaration has been received and does not, by itself, constitute confirmation that the withdrawal has been accepted or that a refund has been approved. Where the request requires review, we will assess it in accordance with the circumstances of the order, these Terms and applicable law. You will be notified by email of the outcome of your request, including whether it has been accepted or rejected. Where appropriate, we may also send you further updates regarding the completion of the withdrawal process.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising a statutory right of withdrawal.

The online withdrawal function may remain accessible even where the normal statutory withdrawal period appears to have expired. The availability of the function outside an applicable statutory withdrawal period does not, by itself, mean that a statutory right of withdrawal exists or that a refund is automatically due. Any such submission will be reviewed in accordance with the circumstances of the order, these Terms and applicable law.

Using the online withdrawal function is an additional method of exercising your rights and does not prevent you from exercising a right of withdrawal by another legally permitted, unequivocal statement.

10. Returning Goods Following Withdrawal

After notifying us that you are withdrawing from an eligible purchase, you must return the relevant goods without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw, unless we have agreed otherwise or arranged collection.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

You must take reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.

You may inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning in a manner similar to what would reasonably be possible in a physical shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose.

Further practical instructions for returning goods are provided in our Delivery & Returns Policy.

11. Refunds Following a Valid Withdrawal

Where you validly exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will reimburse payments received from you in relation to the withdrawn purchase, including the cost of standard delivery where required by law.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method than our standard delivery option, we are not required to reimburse the additional delivery cost above the cost of standard delivery.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw, subject to our right, where permitted by law, to withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Unless otherwise agreed, reimbursement will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

Submitting a withdrawal request does not itself constitute confirmation that a refund has been approved. We may first need to verify the order, the applicable withdrawal period, the condition and nature of the goods, and whether a statutory exception applies.

Nothing in this section allows us to withhold or refuse a refund where the consumer is legally entitled to one.

12. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in circumstances excluded by applicable consumer law.

Depending on the nature and condition of the product, exceptions may include, among others:

  • goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised;

  • goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and

  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for genuine health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been removed after delivery.

The application of an exception depends on the particular product and the circumstances of the return.

Where a health or hygiene exception depends upon a product remaining sealed, opening or removing the relevant protective seal after delivery may result in the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal for that product.

This does not affect any rights you may have where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

13. Legal Guarantee and Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods

If you are a consumer, goods purchased from us are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided under applicable Cyprus and European Union consumer law. For new goods, this legal guarantee applies for a minimum period of two years from the date of delivery.

The legal guarantee is separate from your statutory right of withdrawal and does not mean that every product is expected to last for two years. Whether goods conform to the contract is assessed taking into account their nature, intended use, characteristics and what may reasonably be expected of goods of that type. Normal use, consumption, wear or deterioration does not by itself mean that a product is defective or non-conforming.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Where a lack of conformity is covered by the legal guarantee, you may be entitled to an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law, which may include repair or replacement and, where applicable, a reduction in price or refund.

An exception from the right of withdrawal, including an exception relating to sealed hygiene goods, does not remove any statutory rights you may have in relation to defective or non-conforming goods.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory legal rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable Cyprus and European Union consumer law.

14. Returns Policy

Any additional or voluntary returns arrangements offered by Violaris are described in our Delivery & Returns Policy.

A voluntary returns policy does not replace or reduce any mandatory statutory rights available to consumers.

Where there is any conflict between a voluntary returns condition and a mandatory right under applicable consumer law, the mandatory consumer right will apply.

15. Website Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities carried out through your account where these result from your failure to keep those credentials secure.

Please notify us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, security concerns, unlawful activity or material misuse of the website.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties, including payment, delivery or other technology providers.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of independent third-party websites.

Where you choose to use a third-party service, that provider’s applicable terms and privacy practices may also apply.

Nothing in this section limits our responsibility where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, designs and other materials owned by Violaris, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the website for personal and lawful purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or otherwise use our protected content without our prior permission, except where permitted by law.

18. Prohibited Use

You must not use the website:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

  • to infringe the intellectual property or other legal rights of another person;

  • to transmit malicious software or harmful code;

  • to attempt unauthorised access to the website, server, accounts or systems;

  • to interfere with the security or proper operation of the website;

  • to collect personal information unlawfully; or

  • to submit deliberately false or misleading information.

We may take reasonable action to protect the website, our customers and our systems where misuse is identified.

19. Availability of the Website

We aim to keep our website available and functioning correctly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates, security reasons or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

This does not affect our obligations regarding orders already accepted or any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

20. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of Cyprus or applicable European Union law.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms do not exclude, restrict or otherwise prejudice your statutory rights.

21. Personal Information and Privacy

Personal information submitted through our website, including information provided when placing an order, creating an account, contacting us or exercising the online withdrawal function, is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal data.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, website, business practices or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms applicable to an order already concluded unless required by law or agreed with you.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and purchases made through our website are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of any mandatory protection or right to which they are entitled under applicable law.
